I was going to apologize.....

about my involvement in the RGRuppe pics thread on the 911 BBS. Seems like I got caught up in jousting with a certain unwanted element and troll. Then there was the carburetor thing, which was actaully how I started everything.

I should have kept it to myself. Sometimes one just has a bad day but they don't know it's a bad day until it's too late.

But, I come back on here and see that the damn debate is still going (well, over there on 911). I guess if I was all that off base, everyone would have just repudiated me. I won't get back in there though.

This BBS site has taught me more than anyone will ever know. I owe this place. I promised before to leave the bastard alone to his own misery and I guess I'll have to re-up my promise. I fell off the wagon.

I don't think I need to apologize, though, except to myself. Serious? Yes, I'm serious here. On to enjoying life, Porsches and this BBS.

Cheers,
Madman Milt

Milt, You're a great guy and you've done nothing wrong! Not that I can see, anyways. If you don't want to engage Tabs, that's your perogative, but your opinions are just as valid as anyone else's here.

Maybe I should rephrase that.

I read through the thread and I see no reason for you to apologize, Milt.

Well see, the thing is, ol' tubs hijacked the thread which is his MO because he seems to have nothing constructive to say (I'm trying to be curtious and civilized here). I should not offer a rebuttal to his remarks. That simply comsumated the hijacking as Sherwwod pointed out. Then I took a shot at him. Jeez, what a day.

Well, I am sorry about the whole thing. It ain't no big deal and no one will remember a thing in a week. But, damn it, I need to hold myself to some better standards. I'm a little embarassed. I'll live.

Oh is that all, I thought you did something serious, like unsolicited critiquing of the mystery pelican girl.

BTW I always thought 72 imports entering the US through California had to meet California emission laws, thus Porsche shipped majority of 911T cars with MFI. Some cars made it in through other states with Carbs. (this is only from memory) I know my Targa was a California import with MFI and California emissions stickers. And I have seen original 911ts with carbs in Canada.

Hah! I may make some mistakes, but not that one! I know she's somebody's girl. You know the old story about being new to a cocktail bar and starting to eyeball the talent. Soon, Bubba from over by the pool table has got you jacked up (do you think that might of happened to me? ).
