state goverment process
been a while since i sat in goverment class in school and i am looking for a refresher on the process. thought some of you may be of some help in answering my state law question.
once a bill makes it out of an assembly comittee will it be voted on by the entire assembly ? once it say passes the assembly will it then head to the state senate? if passed by both houses then the govener has final veto power on it? if a particular bill gets vetoed at any of the above mentioned spots its S canned? does the state senate have to approve assembly bills and visa-versa? thanks for any insite on this. |
remember that after school cartoon, "i'm just a bill...sitting on capital hill..."?
maybe we both need to find a copy. i cannot friggen remember. |
Take a look at this http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/pdf/caleg9.pdf

i had goverment class after lunch in high school, i forgot more from that class then any. seems i had a bit of the red eye often during 5th period.
that old bill/capital hill song was classic. i think every kid that grew up in the 70's and 80's knows the gingle. i just forgot the point. |
thanks hugh.
