Werd!! I too am down with the paper towel toss as im walking out the door... and the trash can better be close by or someone will be picking the towel up later... sorry:(
I can't understand why most bathroom doors in movie theatres, restaurants, etc... are push to go in / pull to go out. Wouldn't everyone rather kick the door on the way out that way you can escape germ free. o well, just something that i always think about. anyway back on topic... what diseases has anyone here had? Come on, let us know what to really look out for. |
I can't believe my little VD thread has uncovered a secret society of compulsive handwashers! You guys kill me!

ctS: the doors open inward because big fat hairy lawsuits would be filed by the schmoe who gets a face-full of wood once they get slapped by a bathroom door kicked open by you or I. |
I have read a few articles discussing industrial farming and how these animal mills are some of the largest abusers of antibiotics.
For example, when an infection breaks out in a crampt building crammed full of chickens they will pump the feed for all the animals in that unit full of leading edge antibiotics. http://www.tompaine.com/feature2.cfm/ID/4696 Since the bottom line is more important than avoiding antibiotic abuse we can thank many of the drug companies for promoting the actions that are leading to drug resistant bacterial strains. |

From: http://www.rotten.com/library/bio/crime/mafia/al-capone/ "While in prison, Capone developed symptoms of tertiary* syphilis, affecting his ability to think, communicate, and analyze. In 1939, he was released from jail on good behavior, and moved to his Palm Island estate in Florida. His wife, Mae, stood by him until he died in 1947 from his disease. " * Approximately one-third of people who have had secondary syphilis go on to develop the complications of late, or tertiary, syphilis, in which the bacteria damage the heart, eyes, brain, nervous system, bones, joints, or almost any other part of the body. This stage can last for years, or even for decades. Late syphilis can result in mental illness, blindness, other neurologic problems, heart disease, and death. |
here is my hand washing ritual: get a big wad of paper towels, hold them between my knees, or stuff into pocket, turn on water, get soap, wash hands, grab towels and dry up, turn off nasty handles with towels, open door with towels, and toss the wad into can, if the can is too far, i go for the three point shot. and i walk out giving all the non handwashing, penis germ spreading fools a dirty look.
