Is there anything wrong with this picture?
After a local fun run, I decided to check on the progress of my garage (um house). I thought it might be fun to get the 911 in the photo. My wife says this photo is cheesy, like one of those 1980's "status" photos. All I need in the background would be some bikini girls or an airplane. What do you all think, cheesy or not?

If you'd had posted a 996 Turbo with big azzed fin on the back, it would be bling-bling status. Somehow an 83 Targa doesnt give off that vibe.

The house on the corner is the residence, right? And the next one is your P-car garage and office, I presume. :D ;)

She keeps worrying about what the neighbors will be like. I think if they had any clue, they'd be more concerned about us!!
|
most people would just see an old car in front of a new house ;)
|
Now all the neighbors will want one! Nothing more American than a picture of a new house with a cool car in front....But you need to tell your wife that the hottest babe in the hood needs to be in the picture too. I'm sure your wife will strike a suitable pose with your other two pieces of the american dream. Looks like a great house! Check your tires for nails.

Way cheesy...you need to give me your car immediately to change this very damaging image.

yeah! you're building a palatial estate but still tooling around in an 83 SC!! :D:D:D |
I was thinking the big problem was that there was only one car. Or maybe the fact that it's just an SC -- surely a Carrera would be a better choice. :)

Sorry, forgot to photochop a bikini clad woman into the background. My bad ...
|
I say put some H1s or H4s in that puppy. I can't stand the look of plain sealed beam lights on a 911.

How quaint....His and Her houses.

the problem with that pic is that the builder has started to shingle portions of the roof when other parts have not even been sheeted yet. the roofer is pissed he had to pull off until the lower front gable gets sheeted so he can finish. my guess is the prefabbed trusses were late?
there are also units of floor joist sitting in the road and your house is nearly done. also the tyveck has been completely run and the siding has not even started to be installed. if you have a real windy day its going like a kite off the place. |

I think that trusses were late, they hadn't done anything for a while and then got rocking with the trusses on Saturday. The joists are for the house next door (to the right). |
