Photos from the government? Archive?
I would assume that the many military journalists have a collective photo archive somewhere. Does anyone know if this is online? Or even just a general government photo archive? I would also assume this is public domain? Barring that, does anyone know of a public domain resource for web site suitable images? Thanks in advance guys.

Not entirely related, but I read that the original negatives of the entire JFK-era Presidential Archive (internal White House candid photography) were stored in the Chase Manhattan vaults beneath the WTC. The daughter of the (late) official photographer had plans to archive it all on the internet. I think there were plenty of Nixon-era photos in there, too.
Something like 40,000 photographs and negatives were lost.

Thanks guys! Well. it's kind of broad. For lack of a better word I would say patriotic photos. Images of the flag, our troops performing well, past presidents, etc... It's difficult to really get accross, but I am looking for images that instill pride in the viewer if you know what I mean. Thanks a ton guys, and Kumma, I'll check out your link, thx.
