DByers 05-13-2004 07:21 PM

That is what we watch sports for! I am not as much a Laker fan as I am for a great game. The Lakers shouldnt have piddled away their 16pt lead though.

dude...

Lakers up by one, Spurs have the ball, Duncan is covered like a blanket by Shaq, he rolls off a double team and hits a wrong foot, fall away jumper that drops with 0.4 seconds left.

Lakers call time, setup, Spurs call time, the setup again, Lakers call time, then they setup again. Horry doesn't cover Payton who is the inbounds passer, instead double teaming Kobe. Fisher breaks free, takes the pass and in one motion turns and shoots a left handed jumper just as the buzzer goes off.

swish

check the replay...the ball *just* left his hand when the buzzer/light went off.

Lakers win.

Shaq summed it up best: "one lucky shot deserved another"

Derek Fisher, a class act too......fantastic !!!

Was on approach to VNY, the approach controller is calling play by play, and issuing instructions at the same time!

We were having a great time!

Wow, am now home to see the replays.

bigrubberjeep 05-13-2004 08:45 PM

WOW

dd74 05-13-2004 08:48 PM

Hmmm...I was watching cartoons. Big fan, huh?

Anyway, I knew it had to be a big deal when my wife's granola-eating, new-age masseuse called, yelling, "The Lakers won with 4 seconds on the clock!"

Cool!

ZAMIRZ 05-13-2004 09:26 PM

A game that's going to go down in NBA history for sure, I think this is the biggest moment in Laker basketball since Robert Horry hit that three a few years back to put the Lakers up 1 against he Kings in the 2nd (or was it 3rd???) round. Wow, just WOW!!!

FenderGuy 05-13-2004 11:27 PM

I left thinking the lakers had lost to my suprise damn f&&kers pulled it off :D

lendaddy 05-14-2004 04:42 AM

Huge win, good stuff. LA will be rockin for game 6! Would NOT want to be the road team on that one. Now lets hope my Pistons can take a 3-2 lead tonight, they have been looking rough. Rasheed and I believe Hamilton are both less than 100% too:( We'll see.

trj911 05-14-2004 05:00 AM

Wow! That was an exciting finish! It would really hurt to be a Spurs fan!

GOPACERS!

84porsche 05-14-2004 09:13 AM

All I can say is GO LAKERS - bring that championship back home to where is belongs.

SilverPoly 05-15-2004 02:10 PM

Hope the Lakers do it again tonight! Looking forward to an exciting game. They've got to be pretty tired though as they've been playing all out every other day.
