Corporate activity suggestions

Hiya everyone,
I've been charged with heading a team to plan a "fun" event for my company. Here's the skinny:
We're 14 people, 2 year old startup, and we finally have enough money to blow some on a "fun" event for the company. Budget is as of yet undetermined. Oldest person in the company is in his late 30's, with the average being upper 20's. Thinking of something to do some evening or afternoon rather than an all-day or weekend event. We're also not especially interested in the "corporate team building" activities or business consultants or anything like that, we're looking more in the realm of a Sox game, dinner cruise, paintball outing, something like that. Anyone have any good ideas or past experiences with something like this? we're located in Cambridge, MA (next to Boston) if that helps. Thanks!

I just contacted F1 and asked for a quote, lets see what they say...my guess is they'll be over our budget, but I would LOVE to do F1. Of course, I'm heading up the initiative for this fun event, and it might be suspicious that the Porsche driving, antique car restoring member of our corporate team just happened to book an autosports themed event....

Is there a driving school near you?

I did the Richard Petty School here in Charlotte as a company event. We had a blast.
