anyone else think "Adaptation" sucked?

Tivo recorded Adaptation, and I figured I'd give it a shot, as I liked Being John Malcovic. I have to say I thought the movie was pretty lousy. Cheap plot complications, scattered, sketchy character development.

In stark contrast to Lost in Translation which I loved. Oh well...

Haven't seen it yet, I think that they filmed some of it across the street from me. I have a built-in radar for anything that will bore me and trip the A.D.D. alarm, it usually doesn't fail me.

As for L.I.T., I liked it OK, but it was no masterpiece. Hugely over-rated IMO, good enough but a very small film. Jim Jarmusch has nothing to worry about from her, let's put it that way.

Definitely didn't live up to the critical adulation it got, but I found it above average, if only for Chris Cooper's performance.

"Lost In Translation" was good. Lots of pathos stuff. Reminded me of "Punch-Drunk Love," which was better anyway.

"Adaptation" looked awful from the get-go. It was a "who cares?" story to me.

Adaptation is one of the worst movies that I've ever paid to see.

I thought Adaptation was over-hyped. Was expecting more. At least it was just a DVD rental.

Punch Drunk Love, I thought was great - though, my girlfriend and I were the only ones who were laughing in the theater! :)

Adaptation: Terrible. Also hated Being John Malkovich. Punch Drunk Love: so-so. At least Sandler didn't use baby talk like his other movies. Lost in Translation: Wow, that was so uncomfortable to watch. He's old enough to be her father.

Very tough to be satisfied with a rented movie these days. We just saw House of Sand and Fog, which I didn't think I'd like, but it was actually pretty good. Ghandi is a GREAT actor.

There are a few times in my life when I wish I wouldn't have done what I did. For example: speeding over 20 mph the limit while being tailed by a cop.

Watching Adaptation is definately one of the things in my life that I regret doing.

I just suffered through Kill Bill Vol. 1. What a waste of film and talent. And I like off-beat movies.

Soooooo....it sounds like Adaptation should get nuked from the Tivo?

I don't need convincing...severely backed-up on my movie viewing as it is.
