Everyone knows that the only english speakers without an accent are Canadians, eh?

That's why so many US news anchors come from Canada.

Every one has an accent so some one else.

Over here we have very different accents by geographical as well as social class...just like you do over there.

All Americans, to us have an accent, even the Southern Californians.

Oh can you can only have an English accent if you speak English, which rules all of you guys out, you speak American....;)

I set up a control system in Shreveport, LA a few years back and the electrician I had was completely incoherent - very nice guy and knew his stuff but it took for freaking EVER. I have trouble understanding Newfoundlanders sometimes too but thats usually because they talk so damn fast. Girls with French accents can say whatever they want though, it's so hot! When I lived in Dallas everyone thought I talked funny.. oh well.

In Anchorage, I was asked by a local if I was from Southern California. Could have been my accent. Could have been I was wearing shorts in 40-degree weather, too. :rolleyes:
