Now wouldn't THAT be funny????

Phil Jackson has left the Lakers......

Shaq appears to not be coming back because of 'differences of opinion" with Kobe.

Then, later this summer Kobe gets 2 to 20 for his hotel room antics in Colorado.

Hmmmmmm.

I can see Phil leaving. Shaq may leave but more likely due to "contractural differences", but I really doubt that Kobe is going to do any time at all for his antics.

And then this morning's news is that Phil is gone.

Kobe opts out of his contract "to explore the free agency market".

Shaq asks to be traded.

The only part that remains to be seen will be wether or not Kobe does time.

Are there any Vegas guys taking bets on this? Their odds are often pretty accurate...

It is going to be an interesting offseason - Shaq really has only 3 choices.

1) Retire
2) Hope for a trade (nearly impossible because of salary) -
3) Get back into shape (like the 2000 championship) and the Lakers can go at again with the 4 superstars. Payton needs to get his game back.

The Lakers needed to play with a drive that they had back in 2000. They need to have the urge to win. They reached their goal 3 times, what's next? We will see what happens.

I'm not even close to a sports fan. But dynasties go away with time. It's over. Think Pirates, Steelers, Redskins, Yankees. Even Green Bay. It's done. Stick a fork in it.
