azasadny 06-27-2004 05:23 AM

Timothy McVeigh.... he didn't fit the "profile"....

350HP930 06-27-2004 05:48 AM

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why nail clippers are such dangerous weapons that they must be seized and not allowed on planes.

turbo6bar 06-27-2004 06:17 AM

This would all be easier if we just flew naked. There would be no reason to b!tch and complain, except if you sat next to a fat woman...

Neither did the DC Sniper. It is extremely hard to track/predict the actions of the "one-off" whackos. The whole point to profiling is to give a little extra "attention" to people that fall within the same age/name/race/gender/religion/whatever of those with a PATTERN of violence/terrorism.

techweenie 06-27-2004 11:36 AM

Nor Ted Kaczynski.

Nor, apparently, the guy who sent the anthrax (and has never been found), at least if you believe the FBI's suspect list.

Nor Lucia Garofalo, caught with explosives at the Canadian border in '99

I suppose the list of non-profile terrorists is larger than the 'in profile' terrorists. Certainly seems that way at first glance.__

What was the earlier comment all about?

bigrubberjeep 06-27-2004 10:27 PM

Wako Texas
Hitler (and all Nazi) (this should be enougto even out the profiling)
but what the heck

Jeffrey Dahlmer
Unibomber

Point here is - All ethinic groups should be checked out.

ALL of YOU

AND

ALL of US

The fact that some replies here support the ethnic profiling of Muslim males between 17 and 40 is simply disgusting. Get real people, you named 12 events yet failed to relay any statistic as to about how many non-extremist Muslim males between the ages of 17-40. I'd venture a *conservative* guess of 99.99%

Nor did you relay any statistic as to the ethnicity and age of all other acts of terror that have happened over the time period you dealt with. You make it sound like all acts of terror were done by the said Muslims, because they were 12 out of your 12. But if you were to consider all acts of terror, these same 12 events would only account for a fraction of the total.

Please at least attempt to look at both sides so you can lessen your ignorance.

joeclarke 06-28-2004 06:00 AM

Yeah Klaucke, I'm with you. Frankly, I'm also amazed at the lack of outrage at this piece of crap offering by Mister Blueskyjaunte.

Amazing how a person (or persons) can be so blatantly paranoid and narrow-brained and still manage to function on a semi-independent basis. Ironically, it's scary to imagine that so many people allow fear rather than reason to drive their views and opinions.

But in fairness I guess I'd be paranoid too, if all the muslims were out to get me just because I'm rich and soooo good lookin'.

BlueSkyJaunte 06-28-2004 07:28 AM

Well, I for one am plenty outraged.

BlueSkyJaunte 06-28-2004 07:29 AM

No, you're not, you lyinig POS.

BlueSkyJaunte 06-28-2004 07:29 AM

Am too!!!

bigrubberjeep 06-28-2004 07:38 AM

Ok.........can we say polar?

araine901 06-28-2004 07:46 AM

I think multiple personality is a better deffinition than bi-polar

techweenie 06-28-2004 07:51 AM

I think at least one of those personalities needs to be put on the 'terrorist hot list'

I mean, after all, look at the guy! He bears a striking resemblance to a convicted felon!

araine901 06-28-2004 07:52 AM

So explain to me this; The other examples mentioned some flacious some not, how many blew themselves up in the manner of sucide bombers that perpetrated 9/11 and countless attacks in Isreal and other places. DC sniper (John Mohamed, why exculde his name above he's muslem right) Dalhmer(WTF), Tim McVeigh, Ted Kysinzki (unibomber)?
