C'mon guys, it's Dissociative Identity Disorder. Let's get our terminology straight. I must say, this troll thing is hard. It took nearly a week for you Libbies to organize your sit-in and start calling people names!

Tim Hancock 06-28-2004 08:46 AM

I work with a guy who was born in Syria. I like him and get along with him most of the time. He hates Saddam yet he claims to hate the US government more. To hear him speak of the Israelis, one would get the impression that they tortured his family and raped his mother, yet he was brought up in the US and is a citizen. When these topics come up it is hard to refrain from telling him that if he hates this country so much why doesnt he leave. Because he enjoys freedom, no wait, he hates freedom, no wait, he hates jews, no wait he hates Saddam. Kind of confusing.

I do not think he is a terrorist, yet when one hears some of the illogical,
fanatical thinking that SOME of these people believe in, it is only logical to keep a watchful eye. For gods sake we cannot afford another 911 (unless it is a Porsche).

I do not condone strip searches for every one of Arab background but
Blue's list is factual. Lets get real here!

bigrubberjeep 06-28-2004 09:12 AM

The fact your co-workers in confused is really irelevant to the subject. he is 1 of billion. Juat look at how many US born citizens are against the US accupation of Iraq, should they leave? No! It is part of being FREE in AMERICA to enjoy the right to disagree and ve VOCAL about it without the FEAR of retaliation or being exhiled

Bottom line is, it is not only Muslim folks that have terroist thoughts, it's in all ethnic groups so we should ALL be checked out.

Torrist acts have been comited by
Muslims
Catholics
Christians
Jews
Prebetirians
and all ather ethnic groups or religions. Even athiast <spell check

araine901 06-28-2004 09:18 AM

BRJ: You are free to keep thinking that, You are free to be proven wrong just as I am. Lets count up the terrorist attacks in the last 4 years, How many were Catholic, Presbiterain, Jewish, Mormon, Bahi, evangelical or baptist or what ever?

bigrubberjeep 06-28-2004 09:24 AM

araine - Do you concider attacks on the US the only terroist attacks?

or the only ones that you care about?

In Colombia (Catholic country) terroist attacks happen EVERY DAY

In Ireland terroist attacks made the Renault "LeCar" famous (enter non-muslim religion here)

In Tokyo a terrorist put a dirty bomb in the subway (enter non-muslim religion here)

How long ago was Oklahoma? was the attacker muslim? NO

So you got
Whites
Latinos
Asians

those are just the ones I can think of right away. Need more?

Tishabet 06-28-2004 09:25 AM

beware the prebetirians and athiasts!

juanbenae 06-28-2004 09:32 AM

i knew brj would be here throwing anti US poo from his cage. just more chimp behavior from our "muslum/devils advocate".

i took a cab home the other night after a few cocktails, the guy behind the wheel, a gentleman from the mid east was my driver, head gear and all. i asked him if he knew a fellow hater of the US by the name of BRJ. he nodded, and yelled something in his native tongue, a chant of sorts, very angry like. could not tell whether it was me or the mention of brj that set him off. just too be sure i had the guy drop me off a few doors down so he would not know where exactly to put the car bomb.

bgr has had his turbin on too tight for a while now.

araine901 06-28-2004 09:33 AM

I did not know tha the IRA or columbian druglords had declared holy war on the US. I will look at things differently now that you tell me its so. So by your standard, my 7 year old chirstian son should get as much scrutany as 20 year old palastianian male? If I am understanding you correctly I will stop here.

Dont be stupd k911sc - my comments have never been anti US, they are anti profiling.

Why would you put your 7 year old on the list.

try this list, I cant count all the attacks by just at a glance you can see that Muslims are not the ONLY terroist. But I think the age range is accurate 17-40 so your son would be excluded till the age of 17, the fact he is Christian has no bearing

i think this thread is about the attack on the U.S. what does columbia and japan have to do with this? not every crime in the US is considered terrorism, despite how scary it was. BRJ, apples and oranges, dude.

Tim Hancock 06-28-2004 09:45 AM

I said "SOME of these people". I also said he HATES the US govt. as opposed to disliking some of it's policies. These are strong opinions
which all seem to stem from the US support over the years for Israel.

I personally do not really give a crap who occupies what territory over
there, but I get really PO'd when our country gets attacked for no good reason by anyone (including Timothy Mcvey). If this means overlooking
an 80 year old grandmother at a security check point so more time can be spent checking 30 year old males so be it! (I did NOT say 30yr old Arab male, but if he happens to be, too bad)

FYI it is spelled Colombia (no "U")

Then I think what we are talking about is ("Anti-U.S." Terrorist) not all Terrorist

In either case, you cant ONLY profile Muslims, because the ANTI-US sentiment is felt world wide.

The problem is the Muslims that use religion as an EXCUSE for their actions.

Point here is - All ethinic groups should be checked out.

ALL of YOU

AND

ALL of US

but for the record, it is spelled "waco" texas.

ronin 06-28-2004 11:10 AM

oh, don't get me started again :D

84porsche 06-28-2004 11:40 AM

It is just spelling, they got the point across. Get over it already. By the way even though it is called Waco, Texas, it probably should have been called whacko, slang for not in proper working order or insane.

vash 06-28-2004 12:54 PM

waco, is a crazed place. with or without the "incident".

and 84, i never let spelling bother me, especially mine. :)

araine901 06-28-2004 01:07 PM

Was Waco a terroist attack by the FBI? Some think it was. Was that not the sick and twisted motivation for OK City. the FBI field officer in charge of the Waco raid was stationed out of the Murrah building. One of the many problems (beyound the whole concept of killing hundreds of inocent people in the first place) for McViegh was he was out golfing that day and not in the office.

juanbenae 06-28-2004 01:10 PM

was it not ruby ridge that mcviegh was all hot about?

araine901 06-28-2004 01:21 PM

Both, He visted Waco during the stand off. But yes when the FBI agetn in charge at Ruby Ridge changed the departents standard rules of engagment to shoot any male with a firearm regardless of wether he is pointing it or not and then shot Randy Weavers wife holding a 10 month old baby (not a considerd a firearm) as she opend the door thus bouncing the baby off the floor and killing his wife. Yeah he was pissed about that as well but he chose the Murrah building beucase the OIC for Waco was based out of there. Trust me, I in no way condone his horrible actions I just point out that he felt that the FBI was conducting terrorist attacks. I personly am undecided on which side of that issue I fall on. There are points and issues on both sides that are casue for alarm.
