997: How will it affect market on 993?

There are a ton of 996s on ebay right now... most still calling for high prices...but very few seem to be moving.... and the 993s are dropping just a little bit, quite a few of those as well.

How will the introduction of the 997 affect the market value of the 993s specifically? Will it affect the 993TTs market prices or are the TTs a special breed exempt to introduction of new models?

The car that will be the most affected by the 997 is the 996. With the 997 out the 996 will no longer be the newest Porsche and since it hasn't got a classic status like the 993 it'll drop to lower prices. The 993 will always be the best and the last of the real 911s. I think that'll help keep prices stable.

I don't want the prices to stay stable on the 993 TT as I would like to buy one also. I unfortunately have to wait a few years and save many thousands. The 993 TT is one awesome looking car. Someone is always passing me in a white 993 TT on my way to and from work. I can't keep up no matter what I do. But the 993 TT is a special breed and will be quite expensive exclusive of the market.
