Internet virus alert
There is some kind of major virus proliferating the web this morning. My company asked us to refrain from surfing the web.
I hope Pelican is safe.... Sonic :( |
Only if it is a windows server, and only if you visit it with internet explorer. Check slashdot for more info and interesting/insightful comments. There is also a link to the ZDNet article there.

I saw this before I left this morning. Love the headline "The only solution is to use an alternative browser." Beautiful. Thank you, Microsoft.
(Oh yeah, and thank you Navy, for signing into this silly contract that forces me to use MSIE and nothing else, what a crock...) Dan |
Another good day to be a Mac user....
And a Linux user.... Go Mozilla! :D |
People always ask how my home machine has so few of the problems that everyone else sees -- I have a high speed connection, I am always online, I even periodically run servers (web, ftp, etc.). How is it that I don't get every round of virii when they come past, people wonder? And why is it you're not running exclusively MS software on your systems? ... And the light never comes on. ROTFLMAO

Well, my Microsoft-as-a facist-monopoly conspiricy theory only looks most true now:(
