after i sold my omni glh's i been having the itch for another, the shelbyZ daytona in the garage is going to be parted out with the brakes/tranny going into the charger
on street tires i should have no problem running in the 12's with this

Thats nice but I prefer the CSX due to its 'sleeper' look.

Cool car, bell. I used to have a friend back in the 80s with one... he scared the living $hit out of me one day on Ortega Hwy. I've never been a good passenger since...

Being a gearhead teenager during the reagan years I have quite the affection for the turbos of the 80s. Its a small appreciation list.

911 Turbo
Buick GN and GNX
The Pontiac GTA Turbo T/A
Dodge 2.2 Turbos
Conquest TSI
Supra Turbo

Its a small list and I too would jump at getting any of the cars on the above list for $800.

Huh? Dodge Charger with four-banger? What kind of engine? Pushrod? OHC? DOHC? Which turbocharger?

If I rememebr correctly, that same 2.2 was the one you could get with either the turbo or non-turbo in the Daytona. Had an '84 non-turbo modded out, damn that thing could scream. Most of the upgrades were in the suspension and steering however. What the engine lacked in power, I made up for in the turns.

I remember those days. Enjoy....

2.2 sohc......garret T4 turbo.....inline 4......
the turbo 2.2's were available in daytonas to k-cars, as the years progressed they got better and better, what to do/not to do was learned by dodge. they have a dohc engine (TIII, the head was built by lotus) which is the cats meow, these twin cams came in early 90's dodge spirit RT (only a few thousand built) and some of the iroc daytonas.
now that it's been 10 years dodge diyers have figured out "the way to do it", and documented everything along the way
