who done that?

whats with all of the rating stars on every thread? its like writing fragile on every box when you move. it really loses its effect. now to rate this thread,,, im thinking a 3/5?

RickM 06-28-2004 10:01 AM

There ya go....3/5. :) (At least for now)

widebody911 06-28-2004 10:03 AM

worst.. thread... ever...

juanbenae 06-28-2004 10:34 AM

i cant cite one specific like, wide, but ever?

911ctS 06-28-2004 10:37 AM

I know what you mean by the FRAGILE on all the boxes. If the "box movers" can even read or speak any english, which is rare, then they are likely to give those particular boxes some extra abuse.

"box mover" says to his co-worker -

"oh check this out, so and so thinks his box is fragile and wants us to treat is with care. so he thinks we are careless workers and dont treat every box with care. F him..." (silence...followed by a cachink, cachink, cachink!!!!)

rant mode off. thanks for listening

EDIT: ok lets get this straight, im not talking about the FedEx/UPS guys that actually deliver it to your door step. Those guys are awesome.

This thread sucks donkey.

juanbenae 06-28-2004 12:21 PM

i cant CITE one specific like, widebody, but ever?

lets break this down for the slow crowd.

**i cant cite one specific like= i can not recall a worse specific thread off hand.
** wide= addressing fellow board member "widebody", like i might call blue sky jaunte, "blue" , or brj "A-hole".
** but ever= questioning if it was really the worst ever again.
** ? = a question mark, used to denote that an answer is forthcoming.

who rates these things anyway? dont avoid the original qusetion because you dont know why. i dont recall a donkey rating in the choices neither.

i got a donkey for you all....

RickM 06-28-2004 12:42 PM

It's rated by whoever feels like clicking on the "Rate this Thread" selection at the bottom right of the thread.

djmcmath 06-28-2004 01:26 PM

Wayne? Can we get a donkey rating over here? Or maybe a cowbell rating? I could really use more cowbell...

So what you meant to say, k911sc, was more like "I can't cite a specific example of a worse thread, as widebody suggests, but do you really think this is the worst thread _ever_?" Note the proper spelling of the critical verb. Also note that the name of a fellow Pelican is spelled out enough to avoid confusion -- some members have names that are also words, and those sometimes require clarification. Also note the poor-man's underlining ("_ever_") to show emphasis on the particular word in question.

(smirk) Of course, your variation had a whole lot more entertainment value than mine, which was merely readable and expressed a simple question. As you were ...
