Parallel thread -- meeting new women?

I was reading Supe's lament, and it occurred to me that meeting women is an often tangential topic in a lot of our threads. So I thought I'd start a thread devoted to the topic.

How do you meet decent women? Or indecent women, depending on your preference? What lines work? What lines routinely fail? What concepts and ideas are generally more likely to be successful? Where do you go? How do you meet women in bookstores and supermarkets? Is there an appropriate way to pick up a girl who lives in your apartment complex/neighbourhood? Why do people always have problems with people who meet women at their local church/synagogue/mosque/tabernacle? Why is it that the women I meet in bars are always slutty-hoes? Why is it that women I meet when I'm driving my Porsche are generally disgusting to me?

This is open to absolutely anyone -- if you're married, you can tell how you met your wife. If you're not, you can tell your most successful past strategies. Input from anyone?

Women like to be approached. The trick is to expose as much chest hair as possible, and use a lot of cologne, "Old Spice" and "Brut" are eternal favorites.

What if you're devoid of chest hair? What if growing a beard is located on the Continuum of Things Which Are Possible right next to "teach pigs to fly?"

Ok, in all seriousness -- is there any objective data to indicate that women of any particular type prefer one kind of smell over another? Anecdotal evidence says that the women I've liked over the last 4 years or so have liked "Hugo Boss," but I haven't really experimented a lot.

When your not looking for one that's when you'll find one. Women like a challenge, men are sluts and will bang almost anything that walks. You have to play hard to get just like them, don't be like a little puppy dog following her around and doing what she says. Be the bad boy, women do like bad boys but not crminals.

Here is my best tip go to bars/clubs later in the night. Several reasons to do this. The ladies will have had a few and will loosen up, they have already dismissed most guys in the bar as ugly or jerks, and the competition are drunk and acting stupid. That's when you come in sober, looking good, and ready to make a move. You will look good and be ready for conversation and you can even safely drive some ladies home if needed.

One more tip talk to the ugly chick hangin with a hot girl, it will drive the hot girl nuts and she will start to pick up on you. You look like a nice guy too not just there for some action.

OK I can't stop one more be comfortable being alone, have a good time by yourself. If you can not do this learn to be alone and have fun. Confidence in yourself is sexy, don't be worried what other think about you.

If it's not working for you now, I'd simply suggest trying something... anything (within reason) different. Just be prepared for rejection.

Anyone see that Casino show running on TV? Some drippy guy on the show claims he picks up women every day. He asks about 50 and usually finds at least one in the lot.

Get a job in a bar. You will have plenty of women. At least that was my experience.

If you can get a women to laugh with you, not at you, you will have her in the palm of her hand.

After you meet her, tell her you are saving yourself for marriage. Women love a challenge.

In military circles, the fat chick is sometimes referred to as the "hand grenade." If two guys go hunting together, one may volunteer to "jump on the hand grenade," thus freeing up the hot chick.

I think the idea is to do some internet dating for your bread and butter dating, that way you can be fussy when it comes to meeting other women other ways. Like Cam said, the disinterest drives 'em crazy.

Get to meet your female friends, friends, and these can be the nicest girls you will ever come accross.

my friend, told me. say hi, or wave at one girl a day. sooner or later, one will want to talk. and he also added, if she talks for 15 mins or more, you are not sucking, and you may just have a prayer.

my little bro, is the good looking one of the "law brothers". he dates women that look like mexican singing stars. hot, smoking hot women. i date cute, elfin types. not smokin hot, but good looking, maybe wont catch your eye the first time around. but definately grows hot (make sense?) his life is a effin timebomb hell. he has the jealousy issues, his dresser drawer rifled thru, his mail searched. he has had to fumigate his home for any stray ex-girlfriend photos. he as had to put up with smokin hot women with kids, he knocked up a woman (again smokin hot) that had an ex husband in prison with drug charges, my bro is a policeman. had to beg for an abortion, because the rest of her free family is under investigation by the DEA. again, the women are hot, but i wouldnt touch them more than once.!!! if they would ever let me.

but in the end, i get the more stable woman, and eventually, my brother's ex girlfriends AWAYS call me and wonder why my little brother isnt more like me. my brother loves my present girlfriend and would welcome her into our dysfuntional family, but he wouldnt date her type. now that is irony. i love when the ex's call me and tell me, that they are looking for a man like me, (just better looking)

I used to meet more women when I took one out with me than when I went out alone. she didn't have to be a date, only a friend. as soon as she was out of sight, other women would be all over me. something about a man out with a woman drives the other women that don't have one, crazy . just ask a woman friend to step out with you for the night, no strings attached and see what happens. have her do the introductions if you need to. make her bring her own car just in case. it's strange, but has always worked for me.

I used to work with a guy that was not too good looking, not bad, but had bad teeth. So, he was not a prize. He had a very nice personality, easy going, up beat, not pretentious.

He used to work hard to be where women were and then feign indifference to them. But, he certainly didn't avoid them, quite the opposite. Opened doors for them, helped them, whatever he could do to be around women. He just never acted like he was after anything. (He was).
