Unfortunately this article doesn't give a clear or complete enough picture of the cabbie situation. How can they "insist" on a flat rate? They can't force cabis to change their rates. Would it be more accurate to say the Dems are offering or negotiating a flat rate?...a very common business pratice. And who are they insisting with? The union, city or cab companies?

Also:

Maybe 'cause there isn't any real story there? There is no way to force any rate on the cabbies, specifically one that's below-market. There's something else going on here, but the author, who "consults with with businesses and ministries utilizing ancient Biblical principles for success in today's marketplace" isn't telling.
