Tour de France Opinions
On the eve of the Tour, time to put on the dunce cap (oops, I mean, look into your crystal ball) and say who will win. Will Lance take #6, or maybe Jan ride to his potential and take #2, or Mayo or Hamilton or .....
As much as I think it would be neat for Lance to get a sixth, my gut tells me it will be someone else. I give props to Tyler for his ride last year but certainly would not rule out others. Discuss.

Lance! Come on dude, don't be unamerican...
![]() hehe, I think this off-topic forum is getting to me. ![]() Also: you said "my gut tells me it will be someone else." Whose gut didn't feel that way last year? I clearly remember feeling like it would be "someone else". Until one minute after he fell on that mountain stage... If he stays healthy it'll be a close one... can't wait.

I would like to think it would be Lance but,,,,
Jan is really focused, looks to be in the same shape as when he won it and is a few years younger than lance. these factors plus Mayo and tyler being healthy (hopfulley) for the first time is going to make it a real nail biter.

Lance. Tyler in the top 3.
Remember: Lance is now powered by Cheryl Crow - a new kind of doping. ![]()

Lance is mentaly stronger than others and able to dig deeper when it counts. Tyler will be strong but Jan will be hungry to win but does not have the team depth that Lance has. that my .02

Armstrong, Ullrich, Mayo. I love Tyler, but he has this habit of falling down....

man, i'm tired of seeing lance on OLN... he loses the wife and then shacks up with a 40 something rocker? good grief... what about all the Maillot Jaune girls?
If the bet was the rest of the field vs. lance, I'd take the field and hope it was tyler. however, i do like ulrich... i picture him in the winter getting fat and drunk, then racing his way into shape. he's had a really bad run of luck with teams recently.

Lance sells, can't blame them for pushing what sells. Kind of like the meida in general. But I imagine that when you look back 20 years from know and tell your grand kids you watched Lance win 6 in a row it will not seem like the saturation we are getting now.

Hard to say about Armstrong. The great Miguel Indurain was poised (and favored) to win no. 6 too, but wasn't able to pull it off (a slight understatement).
I'll have to just hold my breathe and see. If I don't have OLN, what are my options? Sherwood |

Sherwood, OLN's website of the TDF website are your best bet.

Also, Big Mig was not out pre riding the climbs and he sufferd like a skinny prepy on thier first day in prison on those climbs. The days of not being a stellar climber and winning the tour are over.

Lance looked good, very good.
I was thinking Lance is like a Porsche on the race track. High revs, torque-y, and light. Ulrich, reminds me of a power purring v8 vette. He also looked very good. This is gonna be one helluva tour. Stage 1, through the heart of Belgium, tomorrow at 6am pacific time.
