Check out my wife's stuff!

Check out my wif'e website www.shannonperryphoto.com
My wife is the creative type, but she has been bugging me, and since I'm always on the board, she wants to know what you guys (and girls) think. She is a photographer and has just started marketing her note cards and prints. Do any of you know any reps, retail store owners or galleries who may be interested in her work, or give her input?
Sorry guys, but it's the least I can do since I spend so much time reading stuff here. Thanks!!

I also have an ex-wife that is an artist. Runs a gallery out in Lafayette. I see her stuff, and am always impressed. I know how much work and time she put into them; no one else sees that, except the 'other half'.

Nice site, incredible pics. She'll do well.

Beautiful photos. We will have to have a P-car run through some of those bridges.

Nice photos. I like that kind of work.

damn it. makes me regrets wasting my art degree (also photography) that stuff is nice. and she has a damn strong website. where did she go to school?

She reads light well...

She just needs to go to the wholesale trade show that pertains to that type of merchandise. Sorry, I don't know which one it might be. There is a gift show for all the trinkets you see in a novelty store. Huge, huge business.

Poeple who last long enough to get into SEMA and to their anual show in Vegas which features aftermarket car stuff usually walk away with more business than they can handle.

As a photographer, her work is great

Perhaps I should explain my earlier post more. I was what was called a "serious amateur" back in the late 60's, early 70's. Carried tons (well, 45 pounds or so) of gear with me wherever I went. Man, I wanted to be the next whoever, as far as 35mm went. I had (still have) a couple of bodies, one of them winder driven, plus an assortment of lenses. Bought my Tri-X in 100 foot rolls. My darkroom time convinced me that "zoom" lenses were fuzzy, at best. Still, despite all this serious interest? I eventually realized it came down to it...I couldn't read light. This lady obviously can. She not only knows how to compose while behind the lens, she knows how to develop film, how it needs to be treated when the neg is in the enlarger. Guys, trust me...this girl is GOOD!

Your wife is very good looking and she definately has talent. I like the design of the website too, "the waters" was my favorite of the albums :)

Thanks for all the great compliments. She is really excited about her new venture. Even though she's been into photography her whole life, now our kids are old enough to let her enjoy her passion as a profession. Her first gallery show starts this week and her feet haven't hit the floor yet.

And yes, I do consider myself very lucky, especially after reading the "monsters from hell" thread! We both read that one and took a pitcher of cosmos to the hot tub to discuss.......She is a very talented women and entirley self-taught (in all areas  )

I'm trying to convince her that a "classic car" series would be a great addition to her line. She loves old P-cars and old Chevy pick-ups. We need to make it to one of the local Pelican get togethers or vintage show. Volunteers or event suggestions?

I'll keep you guys posted, and thanks again.
