Maybe the perfect cup of coffee...

Course grind Peet's Major Dickason's Blend. French press. Heavy diner mug. Good morning!

We, the Seattle gang notice instantly what's not perfect.

IT'S NOT BIG ENOUGH!

Minimum size around here is 16oz. 20 and 24 oz cups are common. I'd explain more, but it's time for me to go get a refill.

Many sing the praises of Jamaican blue mountain coffee. But my favourite is Velluto Nero from Algerian Coffee Stores in Old Compton Street, London.

I'm away at the beach for the weekend, so am 50 miles from my favourite coffee...

www.altezano.co.nz

I almost live in the place (in addition to the small roasting operation, they have a small front-of-house) and I have a "plan". About US$15 a week for coffee, mon to fri. I end up having about 4 a day and am probably shortening my life considerably.

I'm more of a cider fan; first thing every morning I enjoy a large Dicken's Cider just before breakfast.

I have a McDonald's decaf in a styrofoam cup every morning - it's a very consistent brew ....... although sometimes they heat it in the microwave and it's too hot .......

I'm a tea drinker, it's part of my culture. I always have a nice warm mug of some Ahmad Tea of London.

It's always helpful to get out of bed to Peet's mocha java mixed 50% with french roast.. such a wonderful aroma coming from the french press.. now if only I could work up the nerve to ask out that beautiful barista girl at Tully's.. those beautiful flashing eyes, the parting of her lips when she smiles..

The store down the street roasts some good french, combined with some premium choclate milk like Wilcox farms, & you have a nice cup of joe.

50/50 mix of coffee and cocoa beans. Fresh roast and fresh ground. An espresso mid week when you need a quick jolt in the morning or a cafetetier (I guess it's what above posters are calling a french press) for lazy weekend mornings.
One of the things I miss about England, even after 25 years in Italy, is the fresh single cream for my coffee. "There is no substitute"

I dont know what they put in this stuff. When I go out of town and can't get it in the morning, I start to lose my motor skills

.. coffee addicts, unite...

here are some shots I like -- a mix of indian coffee beans. the Italians on the board can correct my poor italian, but the stream of coffee is referred to as "coda ti topo" (tail of the mouse)....

and for the more artistically inclined, who favor milk-based coffee drinks -- i present the rosetta, and heart cappa (* no, i didn't do these!)
