a good clean race

I'll have to watch it again, all but 2 cars finished, and some very exciting racing in the F1 event. Expecially notable was Schumacher's 4-stop strategy (and the blistering laps he was turning to get enough of a gap to make it work) and Rueben's pass on the last lap in the last section of the course to take a podium spot. I thought Trulli had 3rd wrapped up, but the battle for 3-4-5 was tight the last few laps. And the new McLaren car seems to be a lot better than the old one with both drivers finishing in the points.

Now that Renault and BAR are actually placing on the podium, it looks like next year could actually be someone elses turn for the constructor championship & drivers title.

Oh man! You ruined it Todd. ;) I'm now watching the replay & there's only 7 laps left.

I love watching them race at that track...

How about Sato blowing his 6th engine!

That was a great race. Micheal baled out the engineers with those 1:14 lap times. First 4 stop Grand Prix winner. I think Trulli pussed out, he should have slammed the door on Barichello.

Watching Schumacher rip off those 15 incredible laps reminded me of Jordon dropping 55 points on the Knicks in the playoffs. Alonso has a great future in F1.

Its amazing how some of the drivers & teams are starting to match the Ferrari's pace... or are they? Would it be smart of Schui & Co. to sandbag a little? What would happen if they cleaned up every pole, fast lap and win this year? I'll bet THINGS would be done. And they wouldn't be in Ferrari's favor. As much as I love seeing them win every weekend, its probably not good for the sport. Anyway, even if some of the other teams, Sauber, BAR for sure, are starting to catch up to Ferrari, it sure seems like the Brawn/Todt combo is unbeatable. I really feel sorry for the other guys. It must be totally dejecting to watch Schumi pit 4 TIMES!! and still beat them. When interviewed, they sure were confused and at a loss for words!

One of the best races this year. Just an awesome performance by M. Schumacher and Ferrari, not just on the track but also the mid-race change of pit strategy - that team is always thinking a step ahead of the others. Terrific performance by Rubens too, to come from way back to a podium finish.

Very promising performance by Renault and BAR, even McLaren showed signs of life. We might have a decent second half of the season yet.

Why the heck is it always Sato's engine that blows, not Button's? That is really perplexing.

And does anyone think Marc Gene has a shot at a Williams seat? In the spirit of rooting for the underdog, I'd sure like to see that. Gene and Webber.

something about the Honda engine and heat soak during pit stops. They must have telemetry data from both guys while in the pits to see what the difference is.

After Sato's blowup and all the comments about pit stop heat soaks, I wondered why they don't have someone with a cooler blowing cold air into the radiators for those few seconds of a pit stop?
