Thanks Targa. I was beginning to think I was the only one that picked up on that....

Go to the marina and eat at a restaurant called "Turtle Kraal", they have fantastic seafood, margaritas and appetizers! My family and I were just there in April and we loved it! Very inexpensive, family friendly and great scenery.

I hit Key West at least twice a yr, always go every Nov for the Offshore Racing World championships( Hopefully will be running my boat in it this yr!) . KW is definately one of the top 5 party towns., Its gotten a little too touristy over the yr's since i first started going there in the 80's. But i still love it. Great places to eat, try Louies Backyard on Waddell ave at the south end of the island right on the water. awsome food. You cant have enough time to go to all the bars!! Fishing is great. if you have time go for a seaplane trip. Its a highlight of mine . The sunset cruises on the Western Union schooner are great too.
And No, I have never had my" ass stuffed In a cab" there either!:D :D :D |
"Louies Backyard "
Yes, excellent! One of the few places to dine with a view and the menu is fantastic. |
man I should have used that "stuffed" line a long time ago!

Ate at Turtle Kraals too. Was good as described above.
Right at the wharf nearby people were tossing food to giant fish (Tarpon???) They were big and hungry, and my wife had me keep the kids back from the quay 'cause they were leaning in a bit much. Cool to see, but kind of scary too. Made me just a bit jumpy during an open water swim the next morning. |
