Sorry I missed it guys..a tooth and my CD bailed on the same weekend.

djmcmath 07-19-2004 08:34 PM

Yup, yer right on, Sam -- didn't read the post; us nuclear types aren't usually famed for being literate.

island911 07-19-2004 08:39 PM

So, nuclear types are related to unclear types?

When's this next thing?

SRISER 07-19-2004 08:57 PM

Nukes...'nuff said...

...next event is a little dinner in Silverdale (steak I believe) either the 26th or 27th of July. I am over there at the Trident Training Facility for a firefighting school...

...hopefully my quarter window seal will come tomorrow so I can get the glass back in...right now I have debris blanc air conditioning.

djmcmath 07-19-2004 09:41 PM

Nuclear types are only unclear types when we're lysdexic.

djmcmath 07-26-2004 09:24 AM

I'll go ahead and update this thread -- Pelican dinner tonight at the Silver City microbrewery in downtown Silverdale at 6:30pm, or 1830 for you military types. It's in the same lot as the Silverdale Mall, so you can't possibly miss the place. Hope to see a few of you there!

Sam -- I saw a red 911 on Trigger Ave on base this morning, about 7:30. I was out running, and picked up the sound before I spotted it. Good clean sound, distinct base rumbling, no odd pings or tapping noises. That wasn't you, was it?

In fact, that was me. My class was cancelled so I am back in Everett. I was just about to call you and let you know. This really sucks.

I had FF school today and tomorrow at TTF but the detailers overbooked by 28 students...I got sent home.

I wish I knew that was you, we could have chatted.

djmcmath 07-26-2004 01:40 PM

Overbooked by 28? That's impressive. (And at least a little stupid.) Ah, well, perhaps another time -- the Advanced Firefighting school is a real winner.

Your car, BTW, really sounds excellent. Is that the stock exhaust? Did you adjust your own valves?

You'd never pick me out from the crowd, BTW -- my Porsche is still a$$-in-the-air with the engine on a furniture dolly and the tranny in a million little pieces all over the garage, so I'm just another guy in a razor-shaped car these days. :(

i'm assuming this is the place;
http://nwbrewpage.com/wabpubs/SilverC.html

can i attend with my 951? i think it will take a while to get there from seattle during rush hour commute though.

and why do you guys keep posting in the offtopic forum instead of the pnw forum? heheh.

SRISER 07-26-2004 07:48 PM

Stock exhaust? Lordy no...it is a Fab$peed premuff and Fab$peed single in dual out. You can get the same effect with a FS premuff and a custom built exhaust using a flowmaster muffler...

...wakes the neighborhood doesn't it...I really like dropping a couple gears and getting into it when I am next to somebody on the freeway and they have their window down. So mean.
