what? No Tour 2004 thread!
Don't seem to see one, so I guess it's time to start one.
I am not able to watch the tour on TV at all...so I am following it online each day to find out what is going on. Today the stage seems to be going as planned and the peleton should finish together again today with minimum change to the general classification. GO LANCE! |
Cam yelled at me for spoiling his time-shifted viewing :D
|
I just yelled about having a Subject which told me the outcome :D
It been pretty interesting so far. I inadvertantly (again) found out what happened on stage 8, but given they are supposedly flat and boring sprinter stages, they have actually been quite interesting. |
I know the feeling....that's why I follow it online and make sure I see all the details as it happens. After todays stage (9) the tour is about to hit the mountains, and that is where Lance, Tyler, Iban, and Jan will start making a move for the yellow. This is going to be a great 2 days of mountain stages.

oh...being here in Iraq really sucks, considering this was me last July at the final stage of the tour in Paris!
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1089692905.jpg I am the guy in the hat and REI cycling jacket. The 3 kids in front are mine, my oldest didn't want to go. SmileWavy |
I have Adelphia cable here and no Outdoor Life Network, which has been showing recaps of Le Tour. :(
Oh, but I get stuck with NBC coverage of NASCAR and a hella lot of Arena Football (kill me!)... My question is will this be Lance's final tour... ...will Tyler take up the cycling mantle? EDIT: "Life" for "Living" |
Tyler will not be the champion cyclist...he has talent but seems to lack the "luck" needed. I would guess that Lance is going to retire after this one, I know I would.
|
Lance has agreed to ride in the Tour for 2005......I believe it was part of the deal with the new team sponsor Discovery Channel.
Lets hope he will be running for #7 Time to go watch Stage 9 on OLN.....ya gotta love Phil & Paul :D |
