San Diego Pelicanites - a little help...

Hi all:

I'm taking the California bar exam at San Diego State next week.

Can anyone suggest the most reasonably priced hotel within a short drive from there for me?

Also, is there a particular car rental place you have had great success with, or one you hated? I prefer a recommendation at/near the airport. I'm a recent grad and this is a self-funded endeavor, so I'm trying to avoid cab fares, etc., i.e. I'm not going on vacation.

Finally, would anyone like to get together next Thursday night to show off the town and talk cars? The test is over Thursday and I'll CERTAINLY be ready for a few beers and looking forward to seeing some great Porsches.

I'm moving to SD in late August or early September.
