cognac

Any of you guys have any idea what this might be worth? A friend asked us to sell it for them in our wine shop. it's a bicentenial 1769-1969 Camus Reserve Napoleon Cognac set, Limoge porcelain. I've searched and can't find much info about it. unopened and entire set in a book type case. Thanks

That's one of the most beautiful drinking utensils I've ever seen!
Difficult to say what it's worth. Do you think it's an edition of 1000?

If not I think, maybe $125.00...retail....Limited edition...meaning "Instant" collectable....don't really appreciate much.

If the booze is in the bottle it is worth more than the bottle...then you'd have to find out how good of a product it was to begin with.

yes, the bottle is unopened and full. I'm not sure how many of these were made but it appears to be numbered. I've tried google searches but can't find much about it. one site had it worth 450 hk dollars but there wan't enough of a description to tell if it was the same thing or not. it's very beautiful in person. I'm scared to handle it too much, I'm all thumbs. those are 4 cups and a little hat stopper in the box. the box looks like a book when it's closed. you'd never know it has that stuff inside until you open the cover

It's like a bottle of wine, what is the bottle worth after the wine is consumed. In this case you have some Limoge Porceline pieces....which are not uncommon...if they were early 1900's then I would say they would be more valuable...as nobody really thought of things as being collectable, and things were used accordingly, the survival rate was much lower....thus something in good condition has more value.

Why not check with some spirit merchants in NYC....

Sold! I love cognac, but I have no idea what it's worth. But seriously, if you'd sell it for that little, PM me.

I've found little info regarding this set after much searching. it was listed in a few auction house sites but with no prices. One site tells that limited edition numbered sets of this type were made in different colors and styles, but only shows a few. And that it's handmade with 22k gold decorating the set. it may not actually be worth very much, but it sure is pretty.
