I've said it before - there are somewhat socialist governments throughout the world (especially Europe) which have neither failure nor genocide. They are way left of your Democrats, and are managing to get along just fine. Therefore, you are wrong. Socialism (and I can't believe you make me defend it) isn't the great evil - a lack of democracy is.
