SeaTac Area Visit
Hey Gang!
I'm gonna be visiting out your way during the last week of August and thought you might be up for some kind of get together. I've heard it from a good source that the PNW Pelicans are a very amiable group of guys and are known to put down a few beers at the drop of a hat. I've got a pretty busy schedule planned for while I'm there (between the 21st and the 27th) but I've pretty much got Wednesday, the 25th free. Would love to get together with some local Pelicans and see what you guys are about. Planning on stopping by John Walker's Workshop and shaking the hand of the Master. (Hopefully, some of it will rub off! ![]() Anyway, if anyone is interested in getting together, let's set something up. Hoping to hear from ya! Randy

Randy,
It would be great to get together. The PNW board is pretty active, so post your available times/dates over there and we'll drum up some peoples. Mark |

25AUG04, Wednesday ... Looks good from here; we'll see, as we get closer. From this point of view, Wednesdays are generally good; I can get off work and catch a ferry over to meet a dinner crowd, perhaps? Whatever other plans end up in the works, I'd be up for, say, Pyramid Steakhouse (Alehouse?) in downtown Seattle, and could almost certainly be over before about 6ish. Heck, Randy, I owe you a beer for your photo-documentary on how to rebuild a 915 tranny, anyway.

Randy, I work at the airport. I'll PM you my cell number, and I would appreciate a call if I can help at all. More details in the PM.
Also, I have said many times, and also repeated, that the 74th Street Ale House, just down the street from JW's shop, makes some of the finest food in the city. Their food strikes me as custom-designed fare for enjoyment with malted beverages. For those with mild tastes, their chicken breast sandwich is widely regarded as the best in the city. For those who prefer food that bites back, their corned beef sandwich is the best I ever expect to eat. Welcome. I expect you will be enchanted by our city and its surroundings, and I am prepared to actively ensure that happens.

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen!
![]() Supe, I really appreciate the offer, but I'm afraid my flight schedule wouldn't be too kind to you. We'll be arriving (my wife and I) sometime after 11:00pm your time on the 20th and departing on the 27th (I think) right around 7:00am. If any of those times fit your schedule, we'd be honored, but I wouldn't want you to put yourself out, seriously! We've got a car reserved at SeaTac, so we should be okay. In between those times, we'll be running around pretty much the entire area. My wife's class reunion is happening in Yelm, on Saturday and I think she has us scheduled for some kind of picnic/pizza get-together for Sunday. Also gonna spend some time with her Father in Ranier, and her sister's in Gig Harbor. This trip is really for her to spend time with her family and friends, but I agreed to come along only if I could have a day to track down some local Pelicans. Any time or place on Wednesday, the 25th, sounds good to me. Looking forward to meeting you guys. Mark, I'll make a quick mention of this on the PNW Board like you suggested. Randy
