Battery Question
Does the charge in the battery drop when you add water?
I am trying to help a friend out over the phone with his car. He added water to the battery last night and when he went to start the car it would not turnover. He only has a 12V light tester and it lights up of course. Accessories also work in the car, it just won't turnover. I think he may not have enough juice to turn the starter. |
You are correct. Adding water dilutes the acid solution, reducing the charge in the battery. He needs to put a charger on the battery.

Thanks Kurt, just one of those things I never thought about or thought to ask. This board is the best!
