I've been down this road many times. OHC engines have agvantages & disadvantages. Below 7000 rpm the advantages are few. Canted valve pushrod engines are generally higher in torque which results in better drivability. This is why NO ONE has been very successful w/OHC engines in drag racing. This is also why Porsche has to spend over $50K to build an engine to compete with that unsophisticated pushrod motor.

FWIW, the STIG (Perry MCCarthy) drove it around the track. It got a respectable time (a long way off the GT3 though) but the STIG said it handled appallingly.
