the coolest thing ever on Ebay

I am thinking about buying it. I need to go talk to the bank about a loan. What does everyone else think?

It might piss off your co-workers...

Wow, can they really sell one of those? Imagine that parked next to the P-car in the garage.

BlueSkyJaunte 08-01-2004 06:46 PM

"we will arrange delivery"....LOL :D

speeder 08-01-2004 08:48 PM

God, how I love ebay! http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/wat3.gif

Did you see how under "seller's other auctions", he has some fiber-optic cable for an opening bid of $4.4 million!!

They didn't list what type of weapons it has, and how the hell do you get the stuff in Russia to the US?

Michael

I've never needed a russian translator more...lol

The only thing you have to do to bring it in the US is disarm it and get an import permit, which is very easy. How do I know? I own a MiG-15 Trainer and my friend is negotiating with a certain country to bring decommisioned fighters into the US ten at a time (100+ in total). He curently owns several different types of fighters including a MiG-25.

944,

Post some pictures of that Mig-15?

Michael

Having trouble with the MiG-15 pics. Here's my friends 17 that's about ready to fly... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1091457241.jpg

Auction text"CALL FOR A LISTING OF ACCESSORIES OVERSEAS."

4 air-to-ground missiles = $42,000
2 fuel pods = $27,000
100,000 gallons jet fuel = $160,000
13,000 rounds of ammo = $18,000
Taking out bad drivers on your commute to work = oh, yeah, baby!:D

Is that really in someone's driveway? BTW, those are the insignia of the Polish Air Force.

944jeff 08-02-2004 07:33 AM

No that's at our hangar. Yes, many were built in Poland and China.

}{arlequin 08-02-2004 07:58 AM

Does it fly? ..... I'm seeing cinder blocks....

944jeff 08-02-2004 08:11 AM

It will soon. Just need to finsish the weight and balance which is why the blocks are there. Without fuel it is tail heavy right now.

theFONZ 08-02-2004 05:37 PM

Gotta love the 2nd Amendment!!

Oh, and you could mount all the guns and missiles you want on it as long as you can register them. IE class III machine guns and destructive devices.

Porsche-O-Phile 08-02-2004 07:18 PM

A lot of places won't let you fly them (noise restrictions) and there is of course the mach 1 speed limit in US airspace. Once you get off shore though, the sky's the limit - literally.

My former boss almost bought a 25. . .

I wish I was a real pilot. I'd be able to enjoy such fun activities. If you can fly a jet (not military), I guess getting into one of those is equivalent to flogging an RSR, huh?

david c. 08-02-2004 08:53 PM

I always thought the F86 was just beautiful. Do you know anyone who privately flies one of those?

dd74 08-02-2004 09:15 PM

Who do you take it to for a PPI?
