Kinda makes the PowerHaus thing seem so small by comparison. The coverage this is getting is amazing.

I would say AMP is already down for the count, even if they don't know it yet. 4 days, 44 pages & 100k views, bad news travels fast in the cyber age. I hope they get what they deserve after screwing a GI.

I spent an hour reading & still didn't get to AMP's side of the story, but it sounds like they have a history of poor service & bullying, good riddance.

With the coverage this has got over the internet if I was the owner of AMP I would shut up shop and reopen in another part of town. Even motormeister doesn't seem to have got such a reaction.

This might be the case that demonstrates if bad publicity over the net has any long-term tangible effect on a business.

One thing to consider... the PowerHaus saga was easy to judge. This, on the other hand, is one guy's story.

Lee, I agree. This post was kind of humorous:

"QUOTE (Scott94Z28 @ Aug 3 2004, 04:57 AM)
I would like to take this opportunity to bring a couple things to the table about this situation. A lot of you are talking about immaturity, profanity, threats and intimidation, closing AMP's doors and the like. A mature person would realize that there are always two sides to every story. In some cases there may even be three sides to a story. Your side, his side, and the truth of what really went on. Have any of you ever heard the phrase innocent until proven guilty?

I have read over everyones comments on three different automotive related websites based out of Arizona in regards to this situation. In none of them have I seen AMP's side of the story represented and or brought out for the world to see. Do you think that may be for a reason? Against legal counsell? Or just letting you dig yourself your own grave by slandering a business over the internet?

Before all of you jump on the bandwagon and wipe AMP from the face of the planet, realize you have not heard the whole story. That is all that I am suggesting." (end of Scotts original post)

Another member replies:

"Have you ever looked up the definition of slander?

Well i have...

And i have already been in contact with a Lawyer who SPECIALIZES in slander....

slander:
- 1. Law. Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation.
2. A false and malicious statement or report about someone.

Everything that has been told about the story is TRUE. (And it would take a court and a judge to prove that it isnt true). We have all lived here forever and have been into Mustangs forever, and this shop has been crooked forever..."

I don't think the AMP people know what the internet is....

There are a few things in the orginal story that are suspious. One thing the guy at AMP was talking to the author, and the next thing you know the AMP guy gets real hostile....Well Why did he get hostile...there is a reason???? So all doesn't meet the eye...

One of the AMP supporters (possibly the owner of the junkyard nearby) is on an "outlaw" bbs somewhere...and he doesn't make a good case for AMP. If anything he makes them look like a bunch of Neanderthals.
