Albany Mosque Raid Uncovers Missile Plot
|
Muslims planning to buy shoulder-launched missiles inside our borders, but Bush's administration isn't protecting us from anything. The whole "terror" thing is just fear, uncertainty, and doubt, and justification to have fun invading random territories.
Yup yup yup, facts are sometimes tough to face up to... Dan |
Dan the next time you are in New York, PM me. You can come up to my office and look down into the pit where 3,000 American lost their lives. 200 yards long, 200 yards wide and 5 stories deep. Nothing random about Afganistan and Iraq. And not fun either.
|
Sorry, forgot to set the sarcasm flag on that one. I was parroting a classic liberal position, in that Bush isn't really protecting us, as there isn't any threat, and that he chose to invade two countries for spurious reasons. My official position is that Bush is leading our country in a war on terror. I believe that the invasion of Afghanistan crippled Bin Laden's training grounds, and that the invasion of Iraq removed a dictator known to support Islamic fundamentalist terror, not to mention all of the other evil stuff that he was known for, and the stuff that he was threatening to do.
As to your offer, I'd love to take you up on that. I have a pretty spiffy 4x5 camera, and I'd love to have some memorial/documentary shots from the scene. Nothing like a good picture to keep memory alive. Dan |

Which is exactly why we need to spend billions of dollar on an intercontinental ballistic missile shield, aka Star Wars or SDI. |
Afghanistan and Iraq are clusterf*cks of galactic proportions, made possibile by those who continue to unquestioningly fall back on 9/11 to defend every harebrained scheme GWB comes up with. The sooner people pull their heads out of their asses, un-wrap the flags from around their eyes, the better for everyone concerned.

Sorry Dan, my Neanderthal grip on the keyboard is a bit heavy at times. And the offer stands for all of you Pelicanheads. The WTC pit is not nearly as depressing as it was, in fact the PATH train running and all the work going on is quite encouraging.
And come on Thom, exactly what should GW have been doing for the past 3 years? What would your plan have been, even giving you the benifit of hindsight??? |
Afghanistan could have been a huge success if A.D.D. Bush hadn't diverted attention, troops and money from there to Iraq.
From what I have read, it sounds like the Taliban is making a come back in rural areas and Osama is still running around. Thank god we invaded Iraq. That solved so many problems. |

The Taliban had plenty of warning to get out of the way, and a large number fled to neighboring countries -- mostly Pakistan. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot had filtered back in. Afghanistan is a work in progress. It's far from 'mission accomplished.' |
So, uh, did anyone read that article at the top of the thread ???
an undercover cop tries to get people to help him buy weapons, when they help him, they are arrested... Is that considered entrapment ??? ( Lawyers chime in here ) |
I love it.....
Psssst.... Hey buddy, wanna buy a SAM? I can have it delivered to the Mosque. What a Country! |

Kerry says he has a secret solution to Iraq and terrorism, he'll let us know about it after he's elected! And yes, you libs are right, we need to forget about 9/11 and go on with our happy little lives. Except the problem is, the people who where effected by 9/11 will never forget it. I spent a week at ground zero. Trust me its burned into my memory.  |
