Temporary internet access on vacation
 

What options do I have to get internet access while traveling on vacation? I have cable modem at home/office. I've signed up for the AOL trial period before and canceled when I returned home but just wondered if there are other options.

If you have a laptop and a wireless card, most hotels these days have woreless access. If you are staying at a cottage or something with a phone line...AOL trial or other trial is a good idea. Otherwise look for Cyber cafes or Starbucks (wireless)....Libraries too..

W/ my Road Runner acct. I also get dial up access from anywhere. All I need is my laptop and my old modem. I have ben able to post via satellite phone from the middle of the Atlantic.

Check w/ your isp

I think you can do the same thing with an earthlink cable modem/dsl line.
