Randy,

I don't think any of the Dems even in here would try to say Kerry is not a pandering fool. Ok maybe sans the fool part:) But seriously, it seems them dems know he's a schmuck and don't care.

nostatic 08-10-2004 11:01 AM

we care, but think he's less offensive than the alternative. Not by much though...sad to say.

rcecale 08-10-2004 11:03 AM

Yeah, I do believe you're right, LD. Schmuck or not, it seems his greatest claim to fame during this election season is that "He's not Bush" Wonder why he's not rallying around that as a campaign slogan..."Vote for Me, cuz I'm not GWB!"

Todd, I believe YOU are one of the very few that do seem to care.

A compulsion to be in politics should be a disqualifier for being in politics

hmmm. . yeah, I think that "in your face -Bush" is better than "creating his own private-Idaho -Kerry"

The more I learn. . .hear from Kerry, the more I am convinced that he believes that he can "create reality" thru revisionsit stories . .. most alway, stories of himself. From "war-hero-Kerry" to his position on this war in Iraq . . .as www.kerryoniraq.com so clearly illuminates.

Hmmm. . isn't there a word in psych. for that? . . .delusional narcissism?

juanbenae 08-10-2004 12:17 PM

but, he still not that sawed off, smug piece of S bush, so he WILL get my vote come november. i would vote for an a$$ pimple on a crack whore before bush.

I couldn't agree more!

Indeed, the qualities that make for a successful politician are antithetical to the qualities that make for a good statesman. There is most definitely something fundamentally wrong with our political system, and unfortunately American are never going to get what they are asking for today. They are asking for someone to go fix it for them. It will remain broken until they fix it themselves. This is why I admire folks like my Pelicanhead brethren here. At least we're sharing views and asking questions. Though obviously some of you still need more information.

I have not been wild about either of the two most recent dem candidates for President. But the current dem candidate is MILES ahead of the incumbent. Heck, I'd vote for a Lendaddy/Island ticket before I'd vote for the current guy. WAY before. At least that way, we'd get someone with fundamental skills like driving, reading and talking.

lendaddy 08-10-2004 12:55 PM

lol

ronin 08-10-2004 01:01 PM

hmmm. looks like I found my write-in candidates

Wow super. . .I didn't know you thought that poorly of Bush.

That was pretty good there, super. You've got a great backhand.
Let me return the nomination favor, and nominate you, super, for Pelicans OT King of Disparaging Remarks!

now, what was this thread about. . .oh yeah, John Flipper Kerry. . . "a$$ pimple on a crack whore."

juanbenae 08-10-2004 02:06 PM

you can tell island is a republican,, see how he took that phrase as i was comparing JK to an ass pimple, not my intended meaning of i would prefer said ass pimple over bush.

spinsters through and through.

hmm. I thought speeder had a lock on that. perhaps they could be the opposition ticket. speedy-supe vs. len-island. do we have to wait until Nov to see how this one turns out?

CamB 08-10-2004 04:05 PM

Kerry would have met my own personal requirements for a war on Iraq if he had of kept working to get UN agreement (which is consistent with what he's said in the past and now), and/or better proof of the necessity.

This is why a lot of Democrats, at least the ones I've talked to, are voting for Kerry. They know he's a sub-par candidate. Even the media has hinted as much. But their whole agenda is to get Bush out, at all costs.

Its Polical ‘Logic’ 101

x>y
z>y
therefore z=x

-An a$$ pimple is better than Bush.
-Kerry is better than Bush.
Therefore Kerry must be an a$$ pimple.

island911 08-10-2004 04:49 PM

. .. at all costs."

Not the highest degree of forward thinking, there (of those dem's.)

Think of how easy '08 will be. Defeating Kerry or worse, Edwards, will be a breeze, once people experience who they are.

If I were in the dem's position, I would be thinking 'let's give this guy Bush a bit more rope.' I would vote Nader and have a clear conscience.
