Was NJ put in harms way by it's Governor

Now I'm hearing that the NJ Governor shouldn't have stepped down and that his personal life if not the public's business. But is it?

When someone is elected they are trusted to look out for those peoples best interest (obviously). Consider the fact that, against the advice of the FBI and other officials, our Governor hired an unqualified candidate to run our Homeland security program....and it was done "quietly". Was he blackmailed into appointing this guy? Did he do a favor for his lover? Now several other appointments are being questioned. WTF!?

Is that in our best interest?

IMO, he should not only resign but vacate the office immediately.

Agreed! AND: his cohort shouldn't finish his term.

Um, I can't find anything wrong. Clearly the guy was qualified:

But sources told The Post — and The Associated Press also reported — that the man involved in the affair was Golan Cipel, 35, an Israeli poet whom McGreevey hired in 2002 as his homeland security adviser, setting off a firestorm of criticism.
