Very nice Thom. Where's the air compressor? Did you pipe in air drops? Also, what is the reasoning behind the copper sheeting on that one section near the vice? I used a piece of 1/4" plate for my welding table, but I have to hit it with a flapper wheel every so often because of the rust. The stainless looks like a better material of construction.

Copper because of conductivity perhaps?
Great looking setup, I'm going to build myself one when I grow up!

The copper section is where I'll do my welding on small projects, and the copper sheet is so the welding spatter doesn't stick; it will glob onto the stainless.
This weekend I'll have some thin strips cut to cover the 2x4 facing of the bench, just for the bling factor. The air compressor is outside in it's own sound-insulated shed, and the supply line runs underground and into the side of the shop. This cools the air substantially; so much that I had to install an auto drain on the water trap. If you look closely in the 4th picture you can see one of the air drops; there's another right in front of the lift, below the hose reel, and another by the door. Nice! So you trap out the water then filter it just as it enters the shop and before it goes to the drops.
You've given me some good ideas. Now I have to go home and redo my whole shop. Thanks for that. Why couldn't you have just stayed on message and posted pics of W and some teen-aged skank?

Spray the inside of that van with Luminol. Voila, a Jackson Pollock painting in scandal fluids.
