The vanagon lives!

Just picked her up and she runs beautifully! I talked them into checking CIS leaks and putting an O2 sensor in the exhaust and that did the trick. What a neat little vehicle. Anyway, the oil press light blinks at idle when warm, but I think they just have the idle set real low. The motor was rebuilt so I doubt any major issues, I'm gonna research the idle adjustment and where it should be. I could use a little more gitty-up, but it's not bad for a grossly underpowered slug with an automatic.

So $3k later she seems pretty well sorted, not sure if I got screwed, but they did alot of work for that $. Now I just have to pimp her out a little

Is this the same shop that wanted to scrap the CIS and install carbs?

Yes, they had it for two months! Like I said the owner is the father of a highschool buddy, so I was in a tough position. I am very happy with how she runs now though. For what they did it was actually $2,800 and this included rebuilding the motor.
