I hear it was a matter of who was going to open their mouth first (no pun intended), Mcgreevey or his lover.
At least it's out in the open. It could've festered like an infected boil if the rumor mills started up and he denied it.

One of his top fundraisers was just indicted for hiring a call girl to seduce a grand jury witness against the fundraiser, then sending pix to the wife. Nice.
