Alaska Gov. Pushes for Oil Drilling Near ANWR

We are a sovereign state and we have this authority and I hope we find a big puddle down there," Murkowski said.

A good friend of mine works for 3M as an Electrical Components salesman...his beat basically includes the whole West coast of North and South America. He has covered all the Ultility, Mining, Public Works, major Electrical Contractors as well as Industriall customers. He basically said up in ANWR there isn't a tree anywhere in sight. It's all snow.... So the big hoooha about the enviroment is just smoke...

Another thing he said is that all the coal fired electrical generatiion plants run so clean, that they sell the sulfur as a byproduct...Now tif the supply of coal is being strip mined that is another concern.

However I will state it again....Our MODERN LIVES require vast electric production to support the economy.. which requires a trade off with the environment. Many Liberals seem to think they can have their cake and eat it too... Their policies have driven American companies offshore...Liberal policies have restricted business so much in CA that the state is driving business away. They have essentially killed the Golden Goose the engine of tax revenue that fuel their spending. Arnold is faced with a daunting job of trying to resurect business in CA, while borrowing another 15B to cover shortfalls in revenues (30B total). At some point CA will declare BK, which is a symbolic sinkling of CA into the sea. What the San Andreas couldn't accomplish the Liberal Democrats in CA have.....so people take CA as an example of a Kerry Presidency....if you like your job, your house and your car ...you ain't gona be happy with Kerry....
