VW Bus - electrical problems?
 

My wife's son has a 1973 VW Bus - Automatic. In the last day or so, he mentioned that both high beams and backup lights stopped working. Tonight, both low beams are out as well.

Seems to me that all the bulbs going bad at the same time would be some astronomical bad luck.

I found a fuse block diagram (from a 1973 Beatle) that appeared to have the same layout. I couldn't find any fuses that looked spent. I swapped a couple around from the flashers (working) to what should be the low beam etc. (not working) - the fuses would all work fine for the flashers (yes, I did verify that the flashers did not work with that fuse out), but no luck on the headlights.

Anybody out there got any ideas? I told the boy to stop by my wrench tomorrow, but don't know if he would have the time to look at it or not.
