Merc 190E - good winter beater?
Thinking the 6 cylinder, say 89-91 or so. Any comments on these?

I'd rather have a 325i from those years.
Probably a wash in the winter, much, much more fun in the summer. Likely easier to work on, too (there are more BMW DIY'ers, more repair info on the 'Net, etc.). |

Wintertime and a 15 year old car, with rear wheel drive?
Once the salt begins to fly, get her a 5 year old Camry with a new battery and studless snows. |

Mercs are amongst the worst cars in the snow.
A must would be to have snows (studded if legal) and/or cable-chains.

I've been considering a BMW 325iX myself. Tough to find, though for decent prices with good miles...
