Slant nose Porsches
hey whats up with the slant nose porsches what was the concept and when did they have them ive seen a couple of pics but not heard about the reasoning behind them and why they were put out. The design makes them look a little off camber in my opion
Anyone have any good pics of any slant noses |
They look (kinda) like the 935 - the quickest racing 911 that Porsche made.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086453604.jpg Presumably it is aerodynamics. And a desire for something a little "sharper" in the 80s (when Porsche offered it as a factory special option for a lot of $$$). It is difficult to convert them properly, and one risks spending some time in the Porsche style wilderness (although the cars continue to have their fans). |
The late '70s 935 racers were the first slant noses - a creative interpretation of the bodywork sillouette rules at the time. Took off into production as an option after that in the '80s.
All aerodynamics - less frontal area for decreased drag and more surface to create downforce. |
This topic is inappropriate for the OT section. Please stick to bashing bush, kerry, women, and/or catholics.

C'mon ... surely GW and Kerry (catholics) spent some time in the '80s cruising around in a slant nose Porsche looking for women ... maybe wiping their noses.

How do you get a nun pregnant?
Dress her up like an altar boy! A catholic priest and a lawyer are sitting on a park bench when a young boy walks by. "I'd sure like to screw him!" says the priest. "Out of what?" replies the lawyer. |
that's it Thom, you are going straight to hell, do not stop in purgatory, do not collect 200.00.........
