Too big to fail
|
Years ago, when I was into cycling, a co-worker of mine, who was a much more talented and experienced than I, were having a discussion on the latest gee-whiz-thats-light gizmos. I made a statement such as "with a titanium this and a titanium that, I'd save X pounds off my bike" To which he replied, "yeah, but if you'd cut down on the cheeseburgers, you'd save even more rolling weight for a lot less money."

Yeah, but I'm already a pretty skinny bugger.
Having said that, spending $500 on figuring out how to train harder is going to save me a lot more than $500 in light parts.
