				Lamborghini's SUV

Lamborghini has plans for an SUV based upon the Porsche/VW chassis - supposedly with a 640HP V12?? Not sure how they'll shoehorn that one in! The Porsche V8 is a tight squeeze. | ||

Sweet! I liked the old Lambo SUVs as well; I think they had Countach engines and a five speed. Very fast "big" vehicles back in the day...

Yeah, the LM002 was the ***** back in the day. Lamborghini specifically built it for their arab customers, and it has a very butch style to it. I'm not so sure about the new one though, those pictures make it look real obnoxious.

I agree, Amir. It's probably very large and very loud. But then if someone wants to spend six figures on an SUV, I guess they have a right to have a large, loud one. A guy down the street from me had an LM002. It was very fast, and loud, but not really that large. Maybe the size of a Ford Escape. I've heard LM002s can be had for under $10K these days.

This will be the same size as the Cayenne, Toureg and the upcoming Audi variant. Larger in real life then they look in print, but not overly large.

The Porsche/Audi/VW/Lambo Pepperwagon. Yeah - Glad Porsche built it so they could stay independent. Wouldn't want to them to fall under the VW umbrella..... Looks like they already have. Lets make it official and let Porsche build true sports cars again. Not blingafied GT's The 997 is a nice car but way to much bling in the cabin. The CGT on the other hand. That was a true sports car.

In my daily driver sedan I like having navigation ect. In my sports car I don't want all that distracting crap. I understand people want it. Leave a way for people that don't want it to no have it. I like simple clean interiors. The 997 is a huge step forward when compared to the 996. I am not knocking the car. It just isn't the 911 or its spiritual replacement

Of course the 997 is as distant from the original 911 as the Enzo is to the original GTO as the Z06 C6 is to the original Corvette as the Jag XK is to the XKE as the ..... So what's the point? All the great sportscars have evolved and are laden with safety, emission-control and 'luxury' features these days. 20 years from today when cars are hydrogen powered and have auto-pilot, the 997 and its contemporaries will seem like bare-bones sportscars as well ..... | ||

Early 911 = barebones sports car 997 = softer GT (high performance but yet she has a fat ass) GTO = barebones sports car Enzo = modern yes but it is a bad ass sports car I am not a Ferarri fan. If I had unlimted funds I couldn't say one would be in my stable. Sure 20 years from now if we are even allowed to drive the 997 will seem bare bones. I am just against bells and whistles for the sake of having them. Again I will say the 997 is a huge improvement but she isn't a 911 and should not be called one
