The Mrs is looking for a new ride

I am looking for some suggestions for a new/used ride for the Mrs. We are looking for something in the 25-28k range. She has been supporting terrorism with her Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV for the last 4 years and is not opposed to continued destruction of the environment with another. Opinions are a good ride suv or car in that price range would be welcomed.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

I have gone through 5 Grand Cherokees in the last 10 years. Not the best SUV out there, but probably the most rugged. And I like to go offroad and know the Jeep can do it. Right now with the new revised Grand Cherokee (WK) due out soon, the rebates are hot and heavy on the 2004's. You can get into a nice off program 2004 with around 12,000 miles for less than $23K. You can easily get into a new 2004 for less than $28K. And the 2004 has 7yr/70,000 mile power train warranty.

Hi Bill,
I kinda like the Honda Pilot, for those who only do light off-roading. The power is good, handles well, and gets 22-25 MPG. Reliable too.

If you are set on an SUV, I've seen a few VW Touregs in the sub-$30k range. That might be worth looking into. Otherwise, I would consider a late-model BMW sedan like a 330i.
