Stephen King gets political.
it's quite satisfying to know that one of my all-time favorite authors shares my political views. In a way, you have to agree with him, otherwise he'll raise your dead pets from the grave and send them to your house to murder you.

John Baldacci before the arrival of Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) at a campaign rally at the University of Maine, Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, in Orono, Maine. King described the Bush administration as the 'most dangerous and unpleaseant bunch' to occupy the White House since the Nixon years. (AP Photo/Robert F. Bukaty) " ![]() |

hmmmm, i am seeing a new Bush ad. Line up all the Hollywood actors and authors on the screen and run the line below it saying: "These are the people John Kerry represents."

Im a big Stephen King fan. He's a great writer. As it is with most entertainers, it is unlikely that he was a Political Science major college or has any background politics. I dont understand why anyone gives a **** about who any entertainer thinks we should vote for.

It looks like King needs to switch brands of embalming fluid, he is looking really dead.

Yikes, he does look a bit scary. The too-small sport coat with a short sleeved shirt just is not working either...

Return to Planet of the Apes.
I wonder if they modeled the Ape costumes after him? I read his books, but could give a rats a$$ what his or any other entertainers political views are. Bill |

"The Shawshank Redemption" and "The Dead Zone" are two King works that made pretty good transitions into films, but vash is right, most King novels get butchered by Hollywood.
But if I need a horror/fantasy author to give me political advice, I might as well hang it up. Besides, anyone with that much money who still promotes "liberalism," just ain't that bright. Could be the Maine air. Last edited by Leader; 09-09-2004 at 05:36 PM.. |
