Friggen cheap, arrogant people.....

Just back from Costco. Some biatch in her H2 parks in the read zone right in front of the store, comes out 15 minutes later, get's a non-Costco cup out of her 'roadblock of a car' and proceeds to head to the self serve soda fountain for a free soda..... She definately looked like a kept woman, some old doods trophy, I imagine....

Lovely. I watched a woman on the cell phone in her brand new convertible Audi, twice cut across lanes without looking, almost get T-boned the second time, and then proceed up the car-pool lane of the onramp - she being the only person in the car...

I've said it once, I'll say it again: "Get off the phone and get a clue!"

Is it me or has the H2 outlived it fasionability (is that a word )

At first I thought they were (just) OK but I'm totally turned off by the obvious 'n needless excess and boxlike design. Actually they impress me as the proverbial Phallic symbol car but for a female. Kind of the Jeep Wrangler for the more affluent chick.

Note: No offense to Hummer owners

Its very possible that she cares about herself and herself alone. It is very rude but some people can't help it, its how they were raised. If you hang around someone like that long enough, you can train them not to be so self-serving.

As far as the H-2s are concerned. You gentlemen need one of these. If you can't beat em, join em and then get one up on them.

There are a lot of self absorbed people out there.

My wife has a few friends like that - they are good people in general but there are times when their self absorbed nature shows their true colors.

Like when you're on a bus full of people and an old lady gets on and nobody gives up their seat for the old lady. That's self absorbed and rude - still just an example.

My wifes very pregnant right now and we see this every day in public when we're walking around and people get impatient with her because she's a little slower and such. It's very frustrating and I WILL hold it against them. Being raised that way doesn't excuse poor behavior.

I think that everyone who wants to use a 6000 lb. vehicle to haul around one little *****head, (themself), plus a cell phone and a latte should be required to go to Iraq for 2 months and fight for their oil. JMHO.

And what kind of mileage does your SC get Denis? I'm ashamed to say that my 993 gets about 12mpg. Its the American way.

There's more to the SUV equation than just gas mileage. Cal Trans says that if the SUVs were smaller or possibly off the road completely, they'd free up space on the freeway, and cause a reduction in gridlock.

!!!!!! How much longer is an H2 than a Volvo station wagon? THAT's going to make a difference? Oh, please.

My crew-cab, long-bed diesel F-250 is longer than anything on the road, except possibly an Excursion. Why don't I hear people complaining about pickup trucks?

Easy, Tiger; don't get the skivvies notched up in yourself.

Oh, and people are complaining about your truck. You just don't hear them because it's a rattling, nasty-ass poluting diesel.

Comon, diesels are pretty darn clean. I heard Japanese car companies are now researching diesel hybrids to replace gas hybrids. When a TDI VW can get the same mileage as a Toyota Prius, take attention. Imagine the results of a diesel hybrid running on low sulphur diesel.

As far as the H2, there should be laws requiring retribution. Woman goes inside to steal a drink; crush her H2 with an Abrams M1A1. Leave one of the plastic tow hooks as a reminder of her stupidity and give her a seatless crappy bike to pedal home.

There would also be less road repair required.

Uh - No - I don't think diesels are cleaner than a gas auto - diesels aren't required to meet emissions requirements. they do get better mileage but I'm not sure that it's true they are cleaner. Possibly the newest ones are cleanish but still...not cleaner than gas. I think that their NOX is higher than that of comparable gas engines.

Gonna have to go do some reading on that one...

No ***** on that. I grew up here, and since the beginning of the heavy vehicle syndrome, the roads have gotten atrocious. Sure, some of it is construction, but a 6,000 pound SUV isn't helping.

Plus, they're illegal on most streets, though I'm sure none of the owners have noticed the gross weight limit signs? They're too busy talking on their cell phones.
