Another American Hostage beheaded

They just couldnt be satisfied with one....Eugene Armstrong now rests up in the sky with Nicholas Berg. I saw the the video of berg..as much as it sickened me..its reality. Supposedly the Armstrong video is out on some website...I'm gonna go search for it and see if I can find it.

RIP Armstrong...

I'm sure red ufo & some others can justify this act due to intollerable American behavior but the way I see it this poor bast*rd was just one more of the 10s of millions fo victims of the practicioners of the religion of peace.

kach22i 09-21-2004 06:23 AM

The cost of war is high, no one said it would be cheep..........oh they did say the oil would pay for it all right?

http://costofwar.com/

Then again it costs a lot to kill people right?

http://www.iraqbodycount.net/database/

Doing the math $136,200,925,000/13,500 (est. avg. deaths)= $10,000,000 per body.

Send me over there and let me kill one person for half that 10 mil, five easy million and the US tax payers save 5 million a head.....................act now to get the low low price 50% off retail!

How many terrorist are in Iraq now? Kill them all and they get replaced 5:1 from what I've read...................get out your credit card it's going to get real expensive boys.

RickM 09-21-2004 06:48 AM

The Nick Berg video completely pales in comparison to this latest . It is ultra graphic and not for the weak hearted.

The militants are accomplishing their goal of horrifying the world with such acts.

My heart goes out to these men and their families.

speeder 09-21-2004 07:22 AM

You DO NOT want to see this video. If you ignore my advice, don't say that I didn't warn you.

To hear the idiot brigade tell it, you would think that Americans, (and other foreigners), were being regularly beheaded by terrorists in Iraq before the war, and our hero George Bush has sent in the troops to stop it.

It would be great to kill all of the barbarians w/o creating 10 times more, plus provoking them to kidnap people and behead them constantly. But of course things are going well in Iraq, heading in the right direction, etc.....

I guess Dick Cheney, Wolfowitz, Perle, and the other "masterminds" of this invasion hadn't factored in the impossibility of rebuilding Iraq when no amount of money in the world can make even the greediest of oil workers want to risk working there. And now they are sabotaging the oil lines every day, but no worries! We can all use our pisschange tax break to pay for the higher energy costs as a result. Moving $$ from the national treasury to the oil companies, that's the way these great Americans do it, down in Texas anyways. ;)

A truly sickening situation, I feel for the families. And since my brother is a big player in the non-profit aid world in the M.E., it hits particularly close to home.

bluebullet 09-21-2004 05:09 PM

yeah i just saw it myself...and I just saw my dinner in the toliet again....

A Quiet Boom 09-21-2004 06:10 PM

I see, so we should just let the mget away with that crap! Where in the H3ll is the anger? I don't care what your position is on the Iraq war, watch that video and tell me you don't want to kill the ba$tards yourself. And don't give me a bunch of BS about how it wouldn't have happened if we weren't in Iraq. It would have happened for sure, maybe not in Iraq but it definately would have happened. Don't forget how many died on 9/11. These people want us dead, the sooner you people understand that the better our chances of surviving are. We are at war on a global scale and pussy-footing around in Iraq is going to make it any easier. The only thing these terrorists understand is force and we aren't showing them enough.

Islam..the religion of peace and good will.

RickM 09-22-2004 06:04 AM

Any American working in Iraq should be required to have a GPS implant...We'll take it from there....

adamred 09-22-2004 06:48 AM

The latest video is truly awful, I'm not sure why I do this to myself...Should you really ever want to see this among other horrible things "consumption junction" seems to the be source....

VINMAN 09-22-2004 07:04 AM

This latest video makes Nick bergs look like a saturday morning cartoon in comparison( no disrespect ). But the vast majority of the country will never know it. Then again, the left-wing media will shove the Abu Ghraib pics in peoples faces. After all, we are the Barbarians here.

Another question. I noticed that the most people that try to justify this are on the Left-coast. I wonder why .. oh I said LEFT coast. ok never mind............

Tim Hancock 09-22-2004 07:08 AM

Ditto Quiet Boom!

red ufo 09-22-2004 07:55 AM

Whats sicker than the people who did this, are the people that feel compelled to watch every single video like this that comes out.

A big apology to ya Westy!:)

speeder 09-22-2004 10:34 AM

Vinman,

WTF has tried to "justify this"??

You seem to have some messed up reading comprehension skills, you're not a Republican by any chance, are you? ;)

VINMAN 09-22-2004 11:29 AM

Speeder, what I meant was Im sick of hearing Libs say that this happened because we are over there! What was the reason for them attacking us on 9/11??? None what so ever! They dont need a reason.

Yikes!

Crazy turbin head Osama bin Laden has been writting letters to the west (not really, they were to the other crazies) for the past decade listing the reasons.

It goes something like...............they are not us, we should hate them, they started a war while on our soil.

Of course, we can say; they are not us, we should hate them, they started a war while on our soil.

To clarify the; "they started a war while on our soil" part was about US troops in the Arabian Peninsula (think Gulf War), but this also ironicly applies to the 9/11 attacks. I see no comparision, but the crazies do.

Please don't ask me to explain the crazies again, I afraid I can't, they are just crazy. Mr. Clark did a much better job explaining this on NPR today, just look it up.

I agree w/ you that radical Islamics do not need any new reasons to want to kill Americans, I would perhaps argue that we are creating new radical nutcases everyday over there w/ our current strategy. We should have stuck w/ hunting Bin Ladin and Al Quaeda, the whole world was behind us, it was relatively inexpensive, and would have actually made us safer.

Now Al Quaeda and all of the other related terrorist groups, (and there sure seems to be a lot more all of a sudden), are enjoying the best times they have ever experienced in the new Iraq. Killing Americans on a daily basis, torturing and brutally murdering innocent people on camera for their followers, I'm telling you, this is beyond their wildest, sickest wet dreams. As was 9/11/01, of course.

I fully understand the conservative argument for drawing them all to Iraq and killing them, I just don't think that it is realistic or a particuarly smart plan. At any rate, welcome to the discussion!

speeder 09-22-2004 12:10 PM

Oh yeah, that's the other thing. They definitely had their reasons for attacking the U.S.A. on 9/11. I do not sympathise or agree w/ any of their reasons, but even many conservatives understand the "why" behind it. It's not exactly a big mystery.

Excellent point, Red. Those people that watch the beheading videos are definitely more evil than those that actually do the beheading.

That's an absolutely brilliant idea. I'm serious.

bluebullet 09-22-2004 03:19 PM

whats so bad about watchin a video? do you think it brainwashed me or something and now Im gonna go out and behead someone? You make it sound like its influencing me or something...

the only thing its influencing me to do is propose we nuke Fallujah and the Zarqwi bastards or whatever those smelly turban heads call themselves

A Quiet Boom 09-22-2004 04:39 PM

I got a suggestion form a decorated Korean war veteran today. Anyway his suggestion was simple, surround Fallujah and announce that you're going to level the city at dawn, tell them anyone who what's to leave can leave there weapons at the gate. Next morning do EXACTLY what you said you would and carpet bomb the whole city. Next move to Najaf, etc. keep bombing until they are either all gone or have surrendered.

He tells me that we have forgotten that this is a war only the enemy has changed from the formal Iraqi army to former soldiers, insurgents and terrorists. He asks why is it OK to bomb regular military targets but not insurgents, and my reply was that a lot of innocents would die. He told me that is the true nature of war and has been for centuries, trying to win without inflicting civilian harm is like trying to play baseball without a bat, sure you can do it but it's gonna hurt alot more.

The best thing he told me was that he didn't know who was dumber, us or them. All these terrorists have conveintly moved into Iraq rather than spreading the killing around and we are too stupid to realize that we could take out swarms of them at any given time.

You he sure has a point, and believe me when someone who's been on the front lines of combat and lived to tell about it (he was a forward observer, very dangerous job) I'm gonna pay attention. He told me had been involved in similar operations in N. Korea and that it basically saved his life. One time they didn't level a village that they thought was harmless and the communist guerrilas attacked them from behind, killing many in his unit.

If you get right down to it, the only reason there is terrorism in Iraq is because we allow it, trying to be politically correct. PC is the wrong way to run a war.

A Quiet Boom 09-22-2004 04:44 PM

BTW I watched the video so I could see what really happened. It reminded me of how I felt on 9/11 and as horrible as it was I think all adult Americans should see this brutality for themselves, I bet it would change a lot of minds. I remember the days folling 9/11 very well, even my most liberal friends wanted revenge. What happened to the patriotism and sense of anger and loss? So many of us go on about our lives trying to put it behind us, this is not fair to those that died. We should always remember, like the Alamo or Pearl Harbor.

bluebullet 09-22-2004 09:32 PM

I believe that the no civilian things stems from the Vietnam war era, where if American GIs came upon a village, and they found that viet cong were living there or using it as a base, it was raped plundered and burned to the ground..and we got a lot of negativity over that....'baby killer' was a more popular term yelled at American soldiers back then.

Sure we could level the town and kill everyone in there...then the world gets mad at us because we killed civilians to stop terrorism. It looks like another Vietnam scenario to me, and I saw this comin waaay back when we were still beatin up Afganistan... They figure with all the smart technological weapons we have we can take anything out and not harm one person. But a smart bomb is only as good as the human that locks it on target. So there is still error.

How on earth would this make us not terrorists ourselves?

It was my understanding that we are trying to rid the world of terrorists, your attitude seems to be, "if you can't beat 'em, join em"...........
